"Mr. Right Now" by Jubal John
ARCA member Jubal "John" Dalzell is releasing his
debut album "Mr Right Now" today. It is being released on all formats
including cd and vinyl. It’s available at local independent record stores,
online at Cdbaby, Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, Youtube etc.
It took about 2 and a half years to make and was recorded right here in Birmingham at Wild Honey Studio (named after the Beach Boys song). "Mr Right Now" features ten originals by Jubal done in a variety of styles already drawing comparisons to Elvis Costello, Ray Davis, The Beatles and Steve Earle.
You can go to jubaljohn.com for more info and to hear samples. The first single is "Cupid's Pink Slip" (kind of a slight follow up to Sam Cooke's "Cupid") which will be accompanied by a video shot by Wild Honey's Tym Cornell who is also Jubal's music engineer.

April Meeting Update
We will have a special treat this Sunday at the monthly ARCA meeting. ARCA Honorary Member, Buddy Causey, will be dropping by to participate in our discussion on special concerts people have attended. Buddy is a fantastic singer from Birmingham, who has been in several groups such as 'Daze of the Weak' and 'Cross' as well as being a solo artist who has travelled and lived all over the country. He's now back in Birmingham and, after battling some medical issues, is singing ...again as great as ever. Besides performing the rock music he loves, Buddy also performs Christian music at various churches and gives his testimony.
Guests are always welcome and this month's meeting is this Sunday, April 17 at the Homewood Library, Room 110 beginning at 2:00. Refreshments are served.
Please make plans to stop by and say 'Hi' to Buddy and participate in the program and tell us about a memorable or exciting concert you have attended, past or present.

Pipeline #99
Dave Burke mailed us a copy of Pipeline #99, which is published in the UK. It has an excellent article on Birmingham's Ramrods. They came to the attention of Pipeline magazine through information in this blog. Jon Adair of the Ramrods spoke at our September 2010 meeting.
Isn't it great that music lovers in Europe are discovering one of our sixties bands?
